The Honda Super Cub is a Honda underbone motorcycle with a four stroke single cylinder engine ranging in displacement from 49 to 109 cc (3.0 to 6.7 cu in).
Honda started mass production of the first “Super Cub C100” in August 1958 at the Yamato Factory (former Saitama Factory Wako Factory). After that, based on the corporate philosophy of “manufacturing where there is demand”, we started knockdown production in Taiwan in 1961, and now we are producing at 16 bases in 15 countries around the world.
The first “Super Cub C100” was equipped with an epoch-making high-performance 50cc 4-stroke engine with excellent economy and durability while 2-stroke engines were the mainstream at that time, and a low-floor backbone frame and clutch that made it easy to get on and off. We have realized an original and innovative design by adopting an automatic centrifugal clutch system that does not require operation and equipped with a large resin leg shield that reduces mud splashes on the feet and running wind.
“The Super Cub, which was born in Japan, has long been around the world by embodying Honda’s desire to” provide the joy of expanding the possibilities of life to all people “in response to customer feedback. With the support, we were able to achieve cumulative global production of 100 million units for the Super Cub series. We will continue to evolve in line with the changing times and strive to provide products that exceed customer expectations. “
