Honda released the new 250cc light motorcycle road sports model CB250F on Friday, August 1st 2014. And A special edition with a special high-contrast color was released for a limited time only in 2015/2016. Body color is lemon ice yellow. The same color as the CBR250R limited color released at the same time.
The aim of the development of the CB250F was to “easily experience the fun and joy of motorcycles!” In addition, by adopting a strong and dynamic naked style and a single-cylinder engine with excellent responsiveness and powerful output characteristics, we tried to realize the development concept “New Light Single Naked”.
Styling achieves a “street fighter style” that is narrowed down like a muscular athlete. The V-shaped headlights and sharp front cowl form a fearless front style, while the use of a fuel tank shroud and under cowl give it a strong and agile image.
Equipped with a water-cooled, 4-stroke, DOHC, 4-valve single-cylinder 250cc engine, which is also installed in the “CBR250R” and is popular for its responsiveness, powerful output characteristics and excellent fuel efficiency. It is easy to handle in the low and medium rotation range, and has a relaxed feeling up to the high rotation range. It also achieves excellent fuel efficiency of 50.1km/L in a 60km/h level driving test value.
By adopting a truss-structured diamond-type frame for the body, it has supple characteristics and contributes to light and secure handling. The suspension uses a telescopic type on the front and a pro-link on the rear with a 5-step preload adjuster. The CB250F exclusive bar handle is used for the handlebar, and the upright riding position is designed for ease of handling in urban areas.
After the Honda CBR250R (MC41) underwent a minor change in April 2014, the CB250F (MC43) was released in August of the same year. Positioned as a naked version of the full cowl sports CBR250R, it had the same basic configuration such as the engine and frame, but had a powerful and agile image in the “street fighter” style. As a special equipment for the CB250F, it adopted a naked-like bar handle. Also, the shape of the meter is different from the CBR250R, and it was the CB250F that had a twin trip with AB switching. Although it was released in August 2014, the model year was 2015. Two types were released with or without ABS. After that, only a color change and a special edition was set for the 2016 model (released in December 2015). After the color change in February 2017, the model history ended like the CBR250R (MC41). As a naked model of the “CB250”, it was announced that the CB300R announced at the Milan show (EICMA) in the fall of 2017 will appear as the CB250R for Japan (in 2018).
