2001 Honda CBR1100XX Overview
This Honda CBR1100XX was released in Europe in 1997 and is a popular model for a wide range of riders. This time, the equipment has been enhanced, such as the adoption of a dedicated multi-gradation screen as a domestic specification.
CBR1100XX is a model developed by combining Honda’s advanced technologies with the keyword “the world’s highest peak supersports”. The lightweight and compact water-cooled 4-stroke DOHC in-line 4-cylinder 1,137cc engine uses an advanced dual balancer, a newly developed PGM-FI (electronically controlled fuel injection device), and a direct air induction mechanism in all rotation ranges. Achieves smooth and powerful output characteristics. In addition, the newly developed knock sensor is used to optimize the output characteristics of the engine and improve the throttle response.
The styling enhances high driving performance and comfort by adopting a body cowl with excellent aerodynamic characteristics and a newly developed high screen.
By adopting a two-system front / rear wheel interlocking (dual combined) brake system for the brake system, stable braking force is demonstrated. In addition, the adoption of Honda’s original anti-theft system “HISS” has made it an excellent anti-theft system.
The body color is set to two colors, a fearless darkness black metallic and an acurate silver metallic.

2001 Honda CBR1100XX Super Blackbird Features
Main features of CBR1100XX:
Equipped with a lightweight, compact and powerful engine. The engine is equipped with a water-cooled 4-stroke DOHC in-line 4-cylinder 1,137cc. By adopting a dual shaft balancer, smooth output characteristics are realized in the entire rotation range. In addition, the 3D map type digital electronic ignition system realizes agile response in the entire rotation range.
Adopts various technologies to maximize intake efficiency. The intake system uses a direct air induction system that actively takes in outside air from the front screen. In addition to maximizing the intake capacity, the adoption of a large-capacity air cavity in the air duct stabilizes the air supply to the air cleaner and realizes a smooth output even for sudden acceleration.
Achieves agile response by adopting the latest PGM-FI (electronically controlled fuel injection device).
The fuel injection system uses PGM-FI, which is a compact integration of an ECU (electronic control unit) and a digital electronic ignition mechanism. Precise control of fuel injection amount realizes agile response and smooth output characteristics.
Adopted an exhaust system aimed at reducing exhaust gas. The exhaust system uses a secondary air injection system (air injection system). Combined with precise fuel injection control by PGM-FI, it purifies exhaust gas by promoting combustion of unburned gas and complies with domestic emission regulations.
Adoption of dual combined braking system that realizes highly reliable braking force. The brake system uses a dual combined brake system. An interlocking mechanism is used for each of the front wheel brake and the rear wheel brake. It is a braking system with a sense of security.
Effective equipment to deter theft. HIS (Honda Ignition Security System) is adopted as the theft deterrent system. The anti-theft effect is improved by making it impossible to start the engine with a key other than the genuine key and blinking the indicator lamp for 24 hours by operating the button.
In addition, it is compatible with the vehicle location search service system “Kokosecom” developed in collaboration with SECOM Co., Ltd., and secures a space for mounting units and in-vehicle chargers, making it a “Kokosecom Honda recommended model”.
