The upgraded F4i is a modified F4 with numerous engine, chassis and bodywork changes. This Honda CBR600F4i has a sportier styling, such as adopting a front cowl shape and a separate type seat based on the CBR600F.
In addition, by adopting PGM-FI (electronically controlled fuel injection device), the throttle response is improved and the weight of the vehicle body is reduced to further improve the kinetic performance.
Honda’s original anti-theft system “HISS (Honda Ignition Security System)” has a reinforced type combination lock, and the chip built into the original key recognizes the signal from the engine control unit. The chip that receives the signal returns a preset ID to the engine control unit, and the engine cannot be started unless the signal matches, which is an excellent effect for deterring theft.

Main features of Honda CBR600F4i
Engine that uses PGM-FI and has excellent throttle response
The newly developed PGM-FI achieves excellent throttle response by optimally controlling the air-fuel mixture in various operating conditions and achieving ideal combustion.
The injectors reside one per cylinder and work with 38 mm (1.5 in) throttle bodies. Each injector has four nozzles, and together the injectors add up to 3.7 kW (5 hp; 5 PS) over the F4.
It complies with domestic emission regulations and uses an air injection system (secondary air injection device).
Adopted “HISS” which has an excellent effect on theft deterrence
Honda’s original anti-theft system H, I, S, S, which has been adopted in European specification cars and has been well received, is newly adopted.
Improved exercise performance by reducing the weight of the suspension
The weight reduction of the front and rear suspensions and the new shape of the front and rear wheels have realized a weight reduction of approximately 2 kg, further enhancing exercise performance.
Sharp and aggressive styling
By adopting a new shape front upper cowl, dual headlights, and separate type seats, the styling is sharp and aggressive.
Honda CBR600F4i Full equipment
- Adopts a multifunctional digital meter. The F4i had a new dash layout with a large analog tachometer. It has functions for speed, integration, twin trip, clock, remaining fuel, and oil / water temperature warning. The new LCD digital display had a speedometer, odometer, clock, engine temperature read-out, amber shift light and trip meters.
- Adopts a hazard lamp. (Domestic only)
- Uses an iridium spark plug with excellent ignition performance.
- There is a space under the pillion seat to store U-shaped locks and small items.
