“1999/2000 Honda CBR600F” fully remodeled and released
1999 Honda CBR600F (New Model: BC-PC35) in Black-Silver. Release date : 1999-04-23. |
Honda Motor Co., Ltd. made a full model change in April, including making the engine of the light and powerful sports bike “Honda CBR600F” compliant with the new emission regulations, and renewing the frame and appearance. It started on sale from the April 23rd, 1999.
This Honda CBR600F has been on sale in Europe and North America since 1987, and in Japan since 1992. At the end of November 1997, the cumulative production exceeded 250,000 units, and it was developed with the keyword “all-round super sports” especially for expert riders who have a large motorcycle license who experienced a wide range of sports bikes in Japan.
1999-2000 Honda CBR600F (BC-PC35) Overview
The Honda CBR600F’s engine is equipped with a compact water-cooled, 4-stroke, DOHC, in-line 4-cylinder, 599cc engine. This time, as a system that complies with the new emission regulations, it has a built-in secondary air injection device that is effective in reducing HC (hydrocarbon) and CO (carbon monoxide). Furthermore, it is equipped with a muffler (silencer) with high quietness that complies with the new noise regulations.
In addition, by reducing the operating resistance of each part of the engine while further improving the efficiency of the intake / exhaust system, ignition system, and cooling system, weight reduction and powerful output characteristics are realized in a wide rotation range.
The Honda CBR600F’s frame and suspension adopt a lightweight aluminum twin tube frame that balances suppleness and rigidity at a high level while matching the compact engine shape. A damper structure (H.M.A.S.) that demonstrates smooth damping force characteristics for the front fork with a large diameter (43 mm) that is lightweight and highly rigid, and the rear damper with a reservoir tank that has a high heat dissipation effect, while providing the optimum ride quality. Adopted. Furthermore, the rear swing arm was conventionally supported only by the lower end of the frame, but this time the crankcase of the engine is extended and supported by the frame and crankcase to increase rigidity and achieve both a comfortable ride and excellent running performance.
* H.M.A.S… Honda Multi Action System
The Honda CBR600F’s brakes are equipped with a hydraulic double disc with a 4-pot opposed piston caliper on the front and a hydraulic single disc on the rear to achieve an excellent braking feeling.
Although the exterior of Honda CBR600F is designed with low air resistance, we are pursuing thorough air management by arranging the introduction holes for direct air induction that introduces outside air into the carburetor in an orderly manner.
The coloring is black with boon silver metallic two-tone, and it is fearless.
