Honda Motor Co released a lightweight and slim trial bike Honda TLM200R on March 20th 1985.
This TLM200R is equipped with an air-cooled, 2-cycle, single-cylinder engine with a lightweight and compact design. By adopting a hemispherical combustion chamber with excellent combustion efficiency, it has an output characteristic that is tenacious, smooth and easy to control from the low speed range.
The frame adopts a lightweight, compact design and a highly rigid diamond type. By using the inside of the main tube as an oil tank and taking other measures to thoroughly reduce the weight, the vehicle weight is 86 kg (dry weight). The suspension uses an air-assisted suspension with a cushion stroke of 180mm for the front wheels, and Honda’s unique pro-link suspension for trial use, which has good road-following characteristics according to the road surface conditions, for the rear wheels.
