Announced on February 18, 1985, released on March 15 of the same year. Model name MC12. This model was developed based on the concept of lightweight and compact design.
This model is set as a high-end model of the CBX125F, has a stronger frame and body, and is equipped with a rocket-type half cowl and aluminum boomerang-type Comstar wheels.
The installed MC12E engine with an inner diameter x stroke of 75.0×56.5 (mm) has changed the starting method of the MD16E RFVC head 4-valve SOHC engine installed in the MD16 XLR250R from a kick starter to a starter motor. It has been tuned for this model.
This CBX250S frame adopts a semi-double cradle type with a lightweight and compact design. It contributes to the weight reduction of the entire vehicle body (115 kg dry weight), brings agile driving, and has good foot grounding (seat height = 76 cm), making it easy for women to handle.
The engine uses Honda’s unique radial 4-valve system to create the ideal hemispherical combustion chamber. (*</ sup> RFVC = Radial 4-valve type combustion chamber) It is said that he can obtain high combustion efficiency and excellent intake / exhaust efficiency. Efficient exhaust pipes, a CV-type carburetor, and a CDI ignition system make it easy to handle in all rpm ranges, with excellent responsiveness. Fixed-ground running test value) has been achieved.
