Honda 250T Master SD is the first American-style sports bike that uses a belt drive mechanism in Japan. It was released in September 1st, 1982.
Honda Motor launched the 250T Master SD, which adopted the first belt drive mechanism for sports bikes in Japan. The Honda 250T Master is popular for being light, compact and easy to handle.
This Honda 250T Master SD is equipped with a polyurethane belt incorporating the “Kevlar cord” adopted by NASA (National Aeronautics and Space Administration) as a reinforcement material for the Space Shuttle. This eliminates the metal striking noise peculiar to chain-driven vehicles and improves quietness during driving. In addition, due to the elasticity characteristics unique to this belt, the shock at the time of gear change and clutch connection is alleviated, and you can enjoy a smooth starting feeling. This belt has excellent corrosion resistance, heat resistance, and wear resistance, and the adoption of this drive mechanism eliminates the need for regular oil injection of the conventional chain drive mechanism, making it easy to maintain. We are also trying to improve.
With this, Honda’s sports bike drive mechanism is enriched with 3 types of chain, shaft, belt, and 250cc class sports bike has 8 models and 12 types, which can further meet the needs of users.
