In July 1st 1982, Honda Motor Co., Ltd. released the Honda CBX400F Integra, a high-performance medium-sized sports bike Honda CBX 400F, which is popular for its precise mechanism, with a fairing and direction indicator cancellation mechanism as standard equipment for the first time in Japan.
The fairing equipped on this CBX400F Integra was designed by actively incorporating the aerodynamics obtained from Honda’s road racing activities. In particular, the screen part is upright so that the rider is not directly affected by the wind even in a normal riding position, and the up type is adopted to smoothly flow the wind flow upwards while riding. Together with the fairing itself, it is possible to reduce the rider’s fatigue caused by wind pressure during long-distance touring and high-speed driving, enabling a comfortable ride. In addition, the direction indicator cancellation mechanism is a device that prevents forgetting to return when turning right or left, which is composed of a steering angle sensor, a vehicle speed sensor, a computer, etc. It is the first mechanism in Japan for a two-wheeled vehicle.
As a result, the 400cc class sports bikes have expanded to 10 models and 11 types, meeting a wider range of users.
