The first gen Honda CRF250R model year 2004 is a 250cc class 4-stroke engine-equipped motocross racing motorcycle. Due to the influence of environmental problems, it was introduced in the midst of 4-stroke motocross racing. The displacement ratio of 2-stroke and 4-stroke is structurally 1:2, so it is possible to participate in the class where 2-stroke CR125R competes. A water-cooled single-cylinder OHC 4-valve engine with a displacement of 249.4cc was mounted on an aluminum twin-tube frame and combined with a 5-speed return transmission. As a racer model, the specifications have been changed every year, and the main items are dual muffler equipment (2006 model), fuel injection equipment (2010 model), and DOHC engine (2018 model), and there was a return to a single muffler (2022 model). The full model change is for the 2010, 2014, 2018, and 2022 year models. As a derivative model, an enduro race specification also appeared. CRF250X (2010-2014) and Honda CRF250RX (2018-) were applicable (separate items for each).
*The CRF250R is a competition-only motorbike, and cannot be run on public roads after obtaining a number.
