A 4-stroke upright engine that boasts overwhelming power
The 174cc OHC engine with an 8° forward tilt, parallel 2-cylinder, has a maximum output of 20 horsepower and a maximum speed of 135km/h. A twin carburetor with a special elliptical venturi section provides excellent response from low speed to high speed. The cylinder and cylinder head made of aluminum alloy demonstrate high output due to the improvement of the intake and exhaust system, and it does not flinch at continuous high-speed operation. The mission that draws out its high performance is a 5-stage return type full-fledged sports specification. The starting method is a combination of cell and kick.

1970 Honda CB175 Specification
Honda offered an earlier version of the CB175 for the 1968 model year. This bike combined features from the 1965-1967 CB160 with the 1969 and later CB175. This motorbike has a 174 cc twin cylinder engine, dual carburetor, five-speed transmission, turn signal indicator, electric and manual starter. It had dual drum brakes and an integrated speedometer/light assembly without the tachometer.
The engine configuration is 360°, which means that the two pistons rise and fall together and have a very smooth firing point.
Producing 20 bhp (15 kW), it was a beefier version of the CD175 but with dual carburetors and a new cam configuration. Top speed was increased to 85 mph (136 km/h) with better acceleration than the Honda CD175’s 80 mph (128 km/h). This better engine performance is due to the shorter engine valve-out configuration.

Honda CB175 History
The Honda CB175 was the standard motorcycle made by Honda from 1969 to 1973. Introduced in 1969 the CB175 was one of three ‘175’ models available from Honda namely the CL Scrambler, CD Motorsport and CB Supersport. A clever marketing strategy from Honda allowed them to sell the same motorbike in three variants.
The 1970 Honda CB175 is a pretty solid platform motorcycle. The bike was fast and reliable, had a fairly low seat height, was light in weight and had excellent suspension and brakes for that time.

Honda CB175 Variants
The initial model Honda CB175 K0–K3 was sold in 1969. It came in one of two colors: Candy Blue with White and Candy Orange with White. Two-tone shaped gas tank with black rubber pads. The “HONDA” tank emblem is on the white side. My cover is white, the “175” symbol is white and the base color (blue or orange). The seat surface is not folded. The electrical system is 12 volts. The engine was a 174cc OHC parallel twin connected to a 5-speed transmission. Serial number from CB175-4000001.

The final variant, the Honda CB175 K7, was sold in 1973 and was available in two colors: Hawaiian Blue Metallic or Candy Orange. The white and black fuel tank stripes have a white “HONDA” emblem. The side cover wing emblem has a red triangular base. The cover emblem “175” is white with black letters, the lampshade is black. There is a chrome clutch pipe behind the seat. Instrumentation is tilted toward the rider. The electrical system is 12 volts. The engine was a 174cc OHC parallel twin connected to a 5-speed transmission. Serial number from CB175-8000001.
The Honda CB175 was discontinued for 1974 and replaced by the CB200, a similar bike already in production.
