2022 Honda CB250R Design Reveiew
Each part, including the engine and muffler, is concentrated in the center to centralize mass. What is created from that is dynamic proportions with a sense of condensation and lightness. A finish that visually appeals to a high-quality riding feel stimulates the rider’s “fundamental enjoyment”.

Experience the joy of running.
Liquid-cooled 4-stroke DOHC single-cylinder engine
The intake/exhaust system and PGM-FI are optimized for the water-cooled 4-stroke DOHC single-cylinder 250cc engine that pursues sharp acceleration in a compact body. Acquired high output characteristics that give a linear acceleration feeling to throttle operation from any engine speed. This contributes to a high-quality riding feel while taking advantage of the compact body.
Assist & Slipper® Clutch for a smoother ride*
Newly adopted Assist & Slipper® Clutch*, a clutch mechanism with an assist function that contributes to reducing the operating load on the clutch lever and a slipper function that reduces rear wheel hopping caused by engine braking during downshifts. This makes it even easier to handle and provides a more comfortable and smooth operation.

A muffler that produces a crisp sound
By making the inside of the muffler a simple two-chamber structure, exhaust resistance is kept low, contributing to a linear response corresponding to throttle operation. In addition, the crisp sound peculiar to a single-cylinder engine will change the running time to a higher quality one.
Honda CB250R Equipments

Full digital liquid crystal meter with various functions
Compact multi-function liquid crystal meter with full digital display. Equipped with functions that allow riders to actively enjoy riding, such as a shift-up indicator, gear position indicator, and tachometer peak hold function, which flashes at a variable rate for each engine speed. In addition, the addition of a gear position indicator function that displays the current gear position in the meter further enhances convenience.
A modern take on tradition. Round LED headlight

A thin LED headlight with a round-shaped light guide, which is the identity of NEO SPORTS CAFÉ. The layout is such that the light housing is embedded between the front forks to centralize mass.
LED tail lamp that tightens the short tail

An LED tail lamp that asserts its presence at the seat end narrowed down to short and tight. The double-layered structure of the lens produces a three-dimensional light with a round shape similar to that of the headlights. The short tail silhouette is tightened by laying out a compact lamp embedded in the rear end of the seat.
Taper handle for direct operation
A tapered handle that accurately and clearly conveys road surface information input from the front suspension to the rider. The central clamp is φ28.6mm and both ends are φ22.2mm, enabling direct operation.
security
– Reinforced handle lock mechanism and reinforced key cylinder effective for theft deterrence.
Chassis
Honda CB250R motorcycle frame/ chassis. |
A frame for enjoying light riding
The frame body adopts a high-strength steel frame with excellent toughness and is thoroughly lightweight. The pivot plate section is independent from the main frame section to reduce the rear wheel load, achieving both weight reduction and high maneuverability. In addition, the rigidity of the main pipe and head pipe has been optimized to achieve light handling.
Inverted front fork that pursues road surface followability

This time, the CB250R’s inverted front forks have newly adopted the SFF-BP (separate function front fork big piston) that brings excellent road surface followability, and the clutch operation load has been reduced, Newly adopted assist & slipper clutch that suppresses rear wheel hopping due to engine braking when down. It contributes to comfort such as rider fatigue reduction and ease of handling. The front suspension is Showa
(Hitachi Astemo Co., Ltd.) SFF-BP inverted front fork is adopted to pursue the road surface followability of the front wheel. Combined with the new-generation CB series lightweight aluminum wheels and radial tires, it provides high-quality and clear road feedback.
2022 Honda CB250R Colours
For the coloring, the fearless “Matte Gunpowder Black Metallic” is newly adopted. Together with the chic “Matte Pearl Agile Blue” and the vivid “Candy Chromosphere Red”, we have set a total of three colors. CB250R Motorbike Profile
At EICMA 2017, it was announced that the CB300R, which was announced as a cafe racer-style naked model, would be sold as a CB250R with a reduced displacement for the Japanese market. That’s right, the CB250R, which was released in May 2018, became a light motorcycle class naked that filled in the blanks of the CB250F and VTR250, which were discontinued due to the effects of exhaust gas regulations the previous year. The development concept is “a sports roadster that turns everyday travel into fun.” The 249cc water-cooled single-cylinder DOHC 4-valve engine was inherited from the CB250F, and had a powerful torque feel typical of a single cylinder in the low and medium speed range. Evolution from the CB250F included radial tires and the use of an inverted fork. In addition, the CB Naked series, which was renewed in 2018, has a large CB1000R and two types of mopeds (European A1) CB125R, each of which has a common styling concept. The CB250R is available in two types depending on whether it is equipped with ABS or not. From the 2019 model, ABS is standard equipment, and the seat height has been lowered by 5 mm due to the revision of the suspension. In 2022, the specifications were changed again, and the exhaust gas regulations were cleared in 2020. At the same time, an assist slipper clutch was installed, and the gear position was also displayed on the meter.
