This time, we have achieved a significant weight reduction of 5.6 kg centered on the main frame. In addition, by concentrating the masses that bring heavy objects closer to the center of gravity, the maneuverability is greatly improved and high maneuvering stability is achieved.
For the engine, the shape of the inlet port and the length of the muffler and exhaust pipe have been reviewed to achieve a linear throttle response in the medium speed range. In addition, the setting of the injector injection particle size has been changed to improve combustion efficiency. Furthermore, along with the change in the shape of the inlet port, the conventional PGM-DSFI setting has been reviewed to enable stable and highly efficient combustion in a wide range of revolutions from low to high revolutions, achieving optimum output characteristics.
The suspension has increased rigidity by adopting an inverted front fork, and combined with the weight reduction of the popular rear unit Prolink suspension, the maneuverability has been improved. The front brake uses the highly rigid radial mount caliper used in the “RC211V” and “CBR1000RR”. It enables effective braking control with excellent controllability.
The styling incorporates the latest “RC211V” design, and the screen and air duct shape have been changed. The tail cowl has been changed to a slimmer style with minimal air resistance.
Since its launch in July 2003, this “CBR600RR” has realized comfortable riding in urban areas with stable driving and high potential. In addition, it has been well received as a fully equipped model such as H/I/S/S and a multifunctional instrument panel.

Achieves high maneuverability and steering stability through thorough weight reduction
The “CBR600RR” has achieved a thorough weight reduction centered on the frame. By improving the fine die-casting manufacturing technology of the hollow structure of the main frame, it is possible to further thin the frame while ensuring rigidity. In addition, about 65% of the parts such as the muffler manufacturing method, muffler protector structure, and swing arm structure have been reviewed, achieving a significant weight reduction of 5.6 kg compared to the conventional model. Furthermore, by reducing the weight of the seat rails, we aim to further centralize the mass, and have achieved significant improvement in exercise performance and light handling.
Inverted front fork and radial mount caliper
The suspension uses a 41mm inverted front fork. The rigidity around the front has been increased to achieve accurate control and reliable operability. In addition, the radial mount caliper used in the “RC211V” and “CBR1000RR” is used for the brakes. It increases the rigidity of the caliper during braking, enables uniform pressure distribution over the entire brake pad, and realizes effective braking control.
Styling with an emphasis on functionality
The “CBR600RR”, which has introduced the advanced technology of the “RC211V” that continues to evolve day by day, incorporates the design as a functional beauty of the “RC211V” in terms of styling.
The front cowl has a sharp screen shape similar to the latest “RC211V”. In addition, the design of the air induct has been changed to further reduce air resistance. In addition, the tail cowl design has been changed to a slim shape.
As with the conventional model, the muffler adopts a center-up exhaust system aimed at improving aerodynamic characteristics and concentrating mass, and the exhaust port has been changed from a circular shape to an elliptical shape, and the details have been elaborated.
