1980-1983 Yamaha XT250 First Generation – Claasic Sport Trail Enduro Motorcycle Photos, Specifications, Review and Price
The first generation Yamaha XT250 is a classic trail motorcycle with 4-stroke single cylinder 250cc engine manufactured by Yamaha. It was released on 1980 and prodused until 1983. This trail motorbike model featured a powerful four-stroke 250cc 1-cylinder engine with linear power-development characteristics mounted on a diamond type frame. It could reach a top speed of 70 mph (112 km/h). Claimed horsepower was 18.37 HP (13.7 KW) @ 7500 RPM. Maximum torque was 14.01 ft/lbs (19.0 Nm) @ 6500 RPM. The rear’s Yamaha-exclusive Monocross suspension helped achieve a light body weight of 114 kg. It became popular as a “super trail” model well suited for a wide range of off-road use, from dirt and woods riding to enduro racing.
