EPEX (이펙스) is an eight-member South Korean boy group formed by C9 Entertainment. The group debuted on June 8, 2021, with their mini-album Bipolar Pt.1: Prelude of Anxiety. The name “EPEX” stands for “Eight Apex,” symbolizing the union of eight members striving to reach the peak of their potential.

History of EPEX

EPEX was officially introduced to the public through a series of pre-debut promotions by C9 Entertainment in early 2021. The group generated buzz due to the participation of members like Keum Dong-hyun in the popular survival show Produce X 101 and Baekseung’s appearance on High School Rapper 4. Their debut mini-album Bipolar Pt.1: Prelude of Anxiety was released on June 8, 2021, and featured the title track “Lock Down,” which addressed issues of digital dependency and societal pressures.
