Formation & Debut (2009)

Rainbow was formed by DSP Media in 2009 as a seven-member girl group. The company, known for producing successful acts like KARA and Sechs Kies, had high hopes for Rainbow. The group officially debuted on November 12, 2009, with their first mini-album Gossip Girl.

Rise to Popularity (2010-2011)

In 2010, Rainbow gained attention with their singles “A” and “Mach”. The song A became a viral hit due to its famous “ab dance,” and Mach further showcased their energetic performance skills.

The group continued their success in 2011 with their first full-length album and hit songs like “To Me” and “Sweet Dream”. These tracks solidified their presence in the K-pop industry.

Experimentation & Unit Debut (2012-2014)
