Formation Through The Unit
UNI.T (유니티) was formed through the KBS2 reality survival show The Unit: Idol Rebooting Project, which aired from October 2017 to February 2018. The show aimed to give previously debuted idols a second chance at success in the competitive K-pop industry.
Over several months, contestants competed in various performances and missions. In the final episode, nine talented idols were selected to debut as part of UNI.T.
Debut and First Album
UNI.T officially debuted on May 18, 2018, under The Unit Culture Industry Company. Their debut album, line, featured the title track “No More (넘어),” a reggae-inspired pop song produced by Shinsadong Tiger.
Final Comeback and Disbandment
Despite their growing popularity, UNI.T was a temporary project group with a set promotional period. Their final comeback, Begin with the End, was released on September 18, 2018, with the title track “I Mean (난말야).” The album symbolized the group’s farewell to their fans.
UNI.T officially disbanded on October 12, 2018, marking the end of their journey as a group.
