Infinix Smart 6 Plus Reviews
Design
When you first see this device taken out of the packaging box, an interesting impression immediately radiates from the physical design of the Smart 6 Plus. Although in general it is not much different from its predecessor, the body of the Smart 6 Plus looks newer.
The boxy body does not look stiff, because each side has a curved area that makes the design ergonomic.
Infinix calls the design concept applied to the Smart 6 Plus the Elegant Skyline Mirror Design which is inspired by nature and presents a peaceful and pure impression.
If you pay attention, the back of the body of this device has a diagonal line that presents a unique color gradation and presents a glass effect that we think is special.
Not only that, we also feel comfortable when holding the Smart 6 Plus. The dimensions of the body still feel right for the average size of Asian hands. The weight is still relatively light.
However, the use of plastic material like most entry-level phones makes the build of this device feel ‘ordinary’. In fact, the back cover feels less solid because when tapped gently it feels like there is an empty cavity behind it.
Moreover, the glossy back cover is often a problem in itself. The reason is, for those who pay less attention to cleanliness, this cover will be very easily dirty by fingerprints.
Even so, Infinix is smart enough to cover up the shortcomings in the physical construction of the Smart 6 Plus by presenting a choice of trendy colors. There are at least three color options that consumers can choose from, including Miracle Black, Tranquil Sea Blue and Crystal Violet.
One thing that deserves a thumbs up for Infinix is that the Smart 6 Plus is supported by Silver Ions (S-I) Antibacterial Material, which is claimed to be able to make the material of this device more resilient and not susceptible to bacteria.
Based on test results from the Infinix laboratory, this material has more than 99.9% Antibacterial Activity Rate against Staphylococcus aureus and Escherichia coli.
Still in the design section, the Infinix Smart 6 Plus places a number of compartments and control buttons around the body.
On the right side of the device there are power and volume buttons, while on the next side there is a SIM Tray consisting of 2 nano SIM card slots (SIM1 + SIM2) and a microSD card slot.
At the bottom, there is a mic hole, 3.5mm audio jack port, micro USB and funnel speaker.
Wide Screen
This sector is one of the improvements presented by Infinix. When compared to the old Smart 6, this Plus version has a wider screen size. Based on technical data, the Smart 6 Plus screen measures 6.82 inches while the old Smart 6 is 6.6 inches.
Like a beginner’s phone, the screen of this device still has a fairly thick bezel area and the screen itself uses an IPS LCD panel. Naturally, it’s also a cheap and cheerful phone.
Even so, this waterdrop concept screen carries HD+ resolution which is predicted to be able to present a stunning visual display with maximum brightness levels.
Not only that, the screen of this phone has a comparison ratio with the body reaching 91%. This means that enjoying a more comfortable and expansive cinematic display is not a problem.
In addition to being wide, the Smart 6 Plus screen is also supported by a number of additional options to make it more optimal. Among them are the Eye Care feature, Dark Mode, Adaptive brightness and inadvertently mode which can prevent ‘mispressing’ when the phone is in your pocket.
Performance
Now moving on to the inside. Based on official specifications and monitoring results using the Device Info application, the Infinix Smart 6 Plus is powered by the MediaTek Helio G25 chipset.
These innards are built with 12nm fabrication, and consist of 8 processor cores consisting of 4×2.0GHz Cortex-A53 and 4×1.5GHz Cortex-A53, and combined with PowerVR Rogue GE8320 graphics.
For an entry-level cellphone, this collaboration of innards is actually a compact match and of course has the best performance to run the Android 12 (Go Edition) operating system.
The typical Infinix interface carried by the Smart 6 Plus, namely XOS 10.6, is also able to accelerate smoothly when trying to open several default applications simultaneously.
However, for certain groups, the use of the MediaTek chipset on a smartphone is sometimes still considered less than okay.
To support overall internal performance, the Infinix Smart 6 Plus is equipped with a 3GB RAM capacity with 64GB internal storage.
Fortunately, for those who like to store documents, photo files or videos on their phones, they can be accommodated with the presence of a microSD expansion memory slot with a capacity of up to 512GB.
Another interesting thing is that on the Smart 6 Plus, Infinix has included a cool feature to boost performance, namely Extended RAM.
However, the option to add RAM taken from the internal storage space (ROM) is limited to only 3GB. In total, the Infinix Smart 6 Plus has a total of 6GB RAM.
So, does it have anything to do with gaming capabilities? If measured technically, the addition of this RAM capacity will certainly be able to optimize the cellphone’s ability to play standard games.
Not heavy games like Genshin Impact, you know. But at least, Mobile Legends: Bang-Bang, Free Fire and mini games that can be downloaded from the Smart 6 Plus’s default app store can be played very smoothly.
Oh yeah, for those who are still curious about the hardware performance of this phone in numbers, you can also see the benchmark results using several applications. The results are quite proud for a smartphone class of 1 million.
Infinix Smart 6 Plus Camera Review
For the photography sector, there is actually not much to talk about. The reason is, the Smart 6 Plus still maintains the character of its predecessor’s camera module, which is what it is.
The rear camera configuration, which is positioned next to the fingerprint sensor panel, consists of an 8MP main camera with an f/2.0 lens aperture with Autofocus features and is paired with AI Lens to produce portrait photos.
For a million-dollar phone, the quality of the Smart 6 Plus’s camera shots can be said to have met expectations. Photo details, color saturation and lighting distribution can be accommodated well.
Not only that, the support of artificial intelligence (AI) technology that has also been embedded in this device is at least still able to optimize photo quality.
For those who like selfies, Smart 6 Plus still accommodates it well. On the front there is a 5MP camera with an f/2.0 lens aperture and is supported by Dual-LED flash for selfies in low light conditions.
Oh yes, Infinix Smart 6 Plus also includes video recording capabilities. The recording quality supports 1080p@30 fps for the rear camera and 720p@30 fps for the front camera.
In our opinion, the video results are quite good and worth sharing on various short video sharing platforms such as TikTok, Snack Video or Instagram Reels.
For those who are curious about what the results of the Infinix Smart 6 Plus camera shots are like, here are some examples:
Infinix Smart 6 Plus Battery
The power source is one of the determining factors in whether a cellphone is worth buying or not. And in this Smart 6 Plus, Infinix really understands this.
Similar to previous product lines, the Smart 6 Plus is also supported by a large capacity battery of 5000 mAh.
Interestingly, Infinix presents a power optimization feature called Power Marathon in the Smart 6 Plus, which is claimed to be able to provide longer usage time.
Based on technical data, the Smart 6 Plus battery in full condition can provide standby time of up to 64 days, 96 hours of music playback, 31 hours of phone calls, 7 hours of WhatsApp, 16 hours of gaming or 11 hours of watching YouTube.
One thing that is lacking in this sector is the lack of fast charging technology support. So, to charge it fully, users have to wait longer.

Conclusion
The price tag of around 1 million for an Infinix Smart 6 Plus feels very appropriate and right to be chosen. In this cheap device, consumers can get optimal widescreen quality, long battery life and very spacious memory capacity. However, if the expectation is qualified performance, this phone needs to be considered more carefully.
