POCO X6 5G Reviews
On paper, the POCO X6 5G looks like an impressive mid-ranger with specs like a 6.67-inch AMOLED display, 5100mAh battery, 67W fast charging, Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 chipset, Dynamic RAM Expansion 3.0 and a 64MP primary camera. How does this device actually perform? Let’s find out.
POCO X6 5G Design Review
Although it is said to be a re-branding of the Redmi Note 13 Pro 5G, the body structure of the POCO X6 5G has a number of differences which, if observed closely, are quite striking and clearly visible.
The POCO X6 5G has a design with a glass back panel and a square camera module on the top side. Incidentally, the one that the tabloidpulsa.id team is currently holding is a black unit.
The smartphone has a glossy appearance and smooth finishing, but the back is not easily scratched. Fingerprints easily stick to the surface of the body, but you can easily clean them.
This smartphone has a flat design, with slightly curved edges and feels light in the hand. Although in terms of size it is not classified as slim, its dimensions are still comfortable to hold for one-handed operation.
The rear panel houses a rectangular camera module that houses three camera lenses and an LED flash. The surface of the camera module is quite prominent, even making the device wobble when placed on a flat surface. Next to the sensors is the POCO branding and the words ’64MP OIS’.
POCO X6 5G: Display Review
The POCO X6 5G sports a 6.67-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 1220 x 2712 pixels. The display has thin bezels and a punch hole in the center for the selfie camera.
The screen size feels adequate when watching content, and the device doesn’t feel uncomfortable to hold.
POCO not only offers high resolution, but it is also the first smartphone in its segment to come with Corning Gorilla Glass Victus protection. This ensures that the display is safe from accidental drops.
Technically, the screen resolution of this smartphone is one level better when compared to its predecessor POCO X5 5G, as well as the more powerful screen protector technology.
POCO X6 5G: MIUI 14, Android 13
This smartphone runs MIUI 14 based on Android 13. For POCO Fans, this could be a drawback. The reason is, most smartphones in the same class as the POCO X6 5G that were launched in 2024 have on average used Android 14.
In addition, POCO’s signature interface is still crammed with quite annoying bloatware.
Interestingly, the POCO X6 5G is scheduled to receive the latest interface update, namely HyperOS, which is currently not available on POCO devices.
While the update is promised to roll out soon, at launch, the smartphone will offer the same MIUI experience as before.
POCO X6 5G: Other Features
To accommodate all the needs of its users, POCO also includes a number of other superior features in this smartphone.
First, there is NFC, which allows users to check e-money balances and top up balances via mobile banking or e-commerce platforms.
Not only that, NFC on POCO X6 5G also supports mobile payments by default. However, direct NFC-based digital payment platforms in Indonesia are still very limited.
For the default Payment by NFC option on this smartphone , it supports SIM wallet.
Another superior feature that is also included is Mi Remote support via IR Blaster, which allows the POCO X6 5G to be used as a remote for household electronic devices (AC, TV, DVD, Set-top-box, Fan, Smart box, Projector and others).
For those who like sports, the POCO X6 5G includes a unique feature in the form of a Heart Rate monitor to measure heart rate. This feature utilizes special sensor technology on the fingerprint panel on the screen.
POCO X6 5G: Performance Review
Like the Redmi Note 13 Pro 5G, the POCO X6 5G also has a Qualcomm Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 chipset embedded in it. The improvements are very obvious when compared to the POCO X5 5G.
This chipset is collaborated with 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM and 512GB of UFS 3.1 onboard storage, ensuring smooth operation of the device.
Despite having multiple apps running simultaneously in the background, including gaming and editing apps, the POCO X6 5G did not exhibit any stutter or lag.
During testing, almost all games could be executed smoothly, for example Genshin Impact.
POCO X6 5G can run medium graphics quality even though it is still 30 FPS. Interestingly, it can still be forced to play at 45 FPS settings.
During the experience of playing a number of games, the body of this smartphone does not show drastic changes in temperature. It only feels a little ‘warm’ on the upper part of the body when running heavy games.
In general, POCO Fans who love mobile games will definitely still be proud of the gaming performance of this smartphone.
POCO X6 5G: Camera Review
The POCO X6 5G is equipped with a 64MP main camera setup, an 8MP ultrawide, and a 2MP macro lens on the back. The front has a 16MP selfie camera.
In this latest smartphone, POCO also presents quite significant improvements when compared to its predecessor, the POCO X5 5G.
Starting from the 64MP main camera, the results of photos in daylight conditions are bright, sharp, and full of detail. Colors look natural and rich, with impressive dynamic range. Low-light photography is also quite good.
The camera interface is simple with an HDR toggle, AI filters, and other options like panorama, slow motion, and macro.
POCO X6 5G: Battery Review
The Poco X6 5G has a 5100mAh battery, similar to the Redmi Note 13 Pro 5G. With light use, the battery can last all day.
The 67W fast charging can charge the battery from 0 to 100% in about 48 minutes, which is pretty cool. A level better than the POCO X5 5G which only supports 33W fast charging.
A battery saver option is also available to extend battery life.

Opinion
The POCO X6 5G seems worthy of being an option, considering that this smartphone offers advantages in many sectors, starting from a bright AMOLED screen display, fast Snapdragon chipset, large battery, fast charging, attractive design and superior camera.
One thing to note, the user interface is still heavily decorated with bloatware, but it shouldn’t be a problem for those of you who are more inclined towards overall performance.
