Infinix Zero 20 Reviews
Premium Box Design
The trend of smartphones with a “box” design seems to have spread to all segments. Starting from the premium, middle to entry-level classes.
In the Infinix Zero 20, you will also be presented with a minimalist design concept that is thick with the aura of a premium smartphone from the fruit-logo brand.
Infinix itself is actually not the first time to apply a boxy device design model. Previously, there was the Infinix Hot 12 which had a design called “Durable Flat-Edge”.
Although it seems ‘copied’, the design appearance presented by the Zero 20 certainly still has its own characteristics.
First and quite striking, on the back of this device there is a box-shaped camera module. Most of its surface protrudes out, with a Double-loop Camera model.
It’s a bit annoying, but if you use the soft case included in the sales package, this problem can be solved.
It’s just that using a soft case will make the Zero 20’s body look thicker. In fact, the physical itself actually has quite thick dimensions.
Even so, the overall size of this smartphone is still relatively comfortable to hold, plus its weight is not too heavy.
In addition, the back of the Zero 20 is also coated with a special material that feels rough and does not easily leave sweaty fingerprints.
Second, the side of the Zero 20 body is coated with a shiny chrome metal material, making it look premium and classy.
Finally, what makes the back cover look cool is the placement of the “ZERO” logo which is quite fitting and looks solid when the smartphone is positioned as if taking a photo.
Like previous devices, Infinix places a number of important compartments on the side of the body. The volume button is on the right side, right above the fingerprint sensor panel which also functions as the power button.
While on the adjacent side, the Zero 20 places a SIM Card slot consisting of 2 SIM Card slots and behind it there is 1 microSD memory card slot.
On the bottom side of the body, this device places a 3.5mm audio jack, microphone, USB type-C and speaker cone.
The plus point, the Infinix Zero 20 also includes another speaker cone on the top side to show the audio capabilities it carries in the form of Dual Speakers with DTS Audio support.
Oh yes, for information, the Infinix Zero 20 itself comes with three trendy color choices, namely Space Gray, Glitter Gold, Green Fantasy.
90Hz AMOLED screen
In addition to appearing ith a classy design, Infinix Zero 20 also carries a choice of screen models that are quite trendy. The Top-Notch carried by this device looks more minimalist and unique compared to products in its class.
Not only that, Infinix also pays close attention to consumer expectations by presenting the best screen technology in the premium segment, namely AMOLED.
This type of screen is predicted to be able to present a cinematic display with vivid colors and super sharp images.
With a size of 6.7 inches, this smartphone screen already carries Full HD + resolution and supports a 90Hz frame rate. A powerful combination to present the best content and comfort when browsing the screen to find interesting information on social media.
Another advantage that Infinix is trying to present, the Zero 20 screen has also received TUV Rheindland certification for eye comfort and preventing the effects of excessive blue light from reaching the eyes.
Through a combination with the XOS v12 interface based on Android 12, users can also do a number of personalizations related to the screen display.
Start by activating Dark Mode, adjusting Brightness, adjusting the screen refresh rate as needed, setting Ultra Touch so that the screen swiping process is more optimal, to doing a little tinkering in Color Style so that the colors that appear on the screen look more optimal.
Best Camera in Its Class
These are the main advantages of the Infinix Zero 20. In accordance with its tagline “World’s Best Vlog Camera”, this smartphone boasts a front camera that has super large resolution and is claimed to be the first to be present on a mid-end device.
In this tiny bangs section, Zero 20 embeds a 60MP Ultra-high-resolution camera sensor that is capable of producing very realistic and clear shots and stunning details.
Interestingly, to get the best photo results, Infinix combines this front camera with OIS technology. Based on our monitoring, the collaboration of a large sensor with OIS for the front camera is the first time it has been present in a mid-end smartphone, and luckily Zero 20 is one of them that brings this advantage.
Based on the test results, the front camera of this smartphone is indeed quite adept at shooting and producing selfie photos that are very adequate to be shared directly on social media platforms.
The plus point is, this front camera is also equipped with the Auto Focus feature, which can detect faces and adjust the focus point quickly and accurately.
What about selfies at night? Don’t worry, thanks to the support of the Super Flash Light next to the front camera, selfie action in low-light locations remains optimal. You can produce selfies with details and colors that look like the original.
In addition to the front camera, the Infinix Zero 20 also excels in the 108MP camera embedded in the back. This camera is also collaborated with 13MP and 2MP sensors.
For a smartphone at a price level of 3 million, the quality of the Zero 20’s main camera shots is quite capable. Photo details, image sharpness and the colors displayed look really solid.
Not only that, users can also explore and produce more artistic photos using the features and filters provided by the Infinix Zero 20 camera.
In addition to photos, the rear camera is also quite worth it to be used to record videos like the front camera. Traveling moments can be documented quite maximally.
For those who are curious about the results of the Infinix Zero 20 camera shots, you can see them below.
Infinix Zero 20 Performance
Although it emphasizes camera capabilities, Infinix also pays attention to performance. In this Zero 20, Infinix presents a classy engine, namely the MediaTek Helio G99 which is sent to have a great performance in terms of running the multitasking process.
In addition, the chipset built on a 6nm fabrication basis is also predicted to be friendly to power consumption. Based on technical data, this chipset carries an Octa-core processor with a maximum clock speed of up to 2.2GHz.
To get maximum performance, the Zero 20 is supported by 8GB of RAM which also supports the RAM Expansion feature of up to 5GB. This means that the Zero 20 technically has a RAM capacity of 13GB.
The additional RAM used by this device comes from internal storage which is specifically allocated by the RAM Expansion feature.
In addition to the large RAM capacity, the Zero 20 is also supported by a fairly large internal memory, namely 256GB. The bonus is that there is still a microSD Expansion memory slot that can be inserted with a microSD card up to 256GB.
The collaboration of these innards certainly does not need to be doubted in its performance. To prove its capabilities, we conducted a number of tests. First, playing a number of favorite games to those with quite high specifications.
As a result, most of the trending mobile games can be run smoothly and freely again. Starting from Genshin Impact, Apex Legends, PUBG Mobile, Free Fire, Mobile Legends, AoV to racing games can run smoothly.
So what about the issue of over-silent when using a smartphone? Don’t worry, to overcome this, Infinix has presented special cooling technology in the Zero 20.
This technology, called VC Liquid-cooled, has a vapor chamber area that is designed to be wide and is able to distribute heat evenly. When tested running games and opening several other applications, the Zero 20 did experience a significant increase in heat.
However, with its cooling technology, the device’s body can quickly adjust and lower the temperature to a safe level.
For those who are still curious about the performance of the Zero 20, we also conducted a number of benchmarks using several applications and the results were quite satisfying for a smartphone in the 3 million range.
Infinix Zero 20 Battery
Like the previous Infinix smartphones in the Zero Series, this latest device is also supported by a fairly large battery capacity.
Based on technical data, the Zero 20 is equipped with a 4500 mAh battery, which is also equipped with a capable power management system made by Infinix.
For normal use, the battery of this device can last more than 1 day. In fact, throughout the tests we conducted, the Zero 20 battery could last up to 2 days.
Interestingly, Infinix also explained the Zero 20 with 45W fast charging technology which is claimed to be able to charge the battery up to 70% in just 30 minutes.
The battery performance of the Zero 20 is certainly very suitable to support user activities, from enjoying multimedia, playing games, communicating to accompanying traveling.
The plus point is, this smartphone still provides a charger adapter in the sales package with a capacity of 45 Watts.
