OPPO Pad Air Reviews

Design
OPPO Pad Air has an attractive appearance as a tablet. Not only is its size fairly thin with a ratio of close to 19:6, but also the addition of ornaments on the back cover makes it in tune with other OPPO tablets that failed to launch in Indonesia.
The sand dune motif hit by the wind on the back of this tablet is the main character of the OPPO Pad. OPPO calls it the 3D Sunset Dune texture. However, because the Pad Air is the first product to be present in Indonesia, we can think that this design trend will be present again on the next tablet, or at least take a similar approach.
What is certain is that the back cover of this tablet is designed with the OPPO Glow technique. Same as their cellphone products. With this technique, the back of the tablet will not easily get dirty due to fingerprints, and is even quite resistant to minor scratches.
Only 440 grams with a thickness of 6.94 mm or less than 1 cm, this tablet will pamper us when doing work using this tablet. We can move the position as we like, put it in a sling bag, or backpack without worrying about filling up the luggage.
There are only three buttons, namely 1 power and 2 volumes that are close together forming a right angle. In one corner that has a rear camera. And also the front camera lens is placed symmetrically when the tablet is positioned landscape aka horizontal.
The location of the camera, buttons and the position of the OPPO logo on the back cover conclude that the OPPO Pad Air is truly enjoyed in a horizontal or landscape position. This is also reinforced by the presence of speaker holes on both the right and left sides when in this position.
No half-hearted OPPO Pad Air provides 4 speaker holes, with a configuration of 2 speaker holes on each side. Producing a loud audio output, also separated stereo with Dolby technology.
Meanwhile, for charging and data transfer needs, there is a USB Type C port on one side, so it will not interfere when you have to charge while watching your favorite content. Unfortunately, there is no 3.5 mm audio jack and SIM Card slot on this tablet. So the internet connection can only rely on WiFi and to listen to audio privately you can use Bluetooth.
Display
OPPO Pad Air uses an IPS screen measuring 10.36 inches. It has a screen ratio that tends to widen with a resolution of 2K or equivalent to 2000 x 1200 pixels, aka above FHD. Supporting a wide color gamut of up to 71% typical NTSC, to watch videos on this screen is quite capable. Although it can’t be said to be very accurate.
Especially for those of you who like to watch videos with HDR10 or HLG format, because the OPPO Pad Air screen supports the two HDR display formats. Interesting, right?
The bezel on this tablet screen can be said to be quite thin, namely 8mm on each side. Makes us satisfied enjoying the screen that fills more than 83.5% of the front area of the OPPO Pad Air tablet. Interestingly, just like on mobile phones, OPPO brings Eye-Care technology to the Pad Air. So we don’t need to worry anymore when using it in a fairly high frequency.
Moreover, this is a tablet that we can use to read digital magazines before going to bed, reading the Bible, and other things to invite drowsiness in the dimness of the room.
Software and OS
OPPO Pad Air comes directly with ColorOS 12.1 which has its own uniqueness. Although not called a tablet version, its appearance is very adaptive and can fit to utilize the width of the screen it carries. It no longer looks like an enlarged mobile OS version.
From the appearance of the settings, to the home screen that appears like a desktop, it looks different from the experience of using an OPPO cellphone. Moreover, with the presence of the dual windows feature that utilizes the screen width to display two different applications at once, the OPPO Pad Air system is ready to increase the productivity of its users.
The PR is that not all applications support this dual windows display. But of course all applications can be set to floating windows. So we can work while watching our favorite anime shows at the same time.
In addition to Multi windows and floating windows, the OPPO Pad Air tablet also supports multi-screen connect. We can connect OPPO phones to this tablet, or it can also be connected to a Windows Laptop to send data, input and use the connected cellphone’s internet network.
Chipset and Memory
This first OPPO tablet carries a chipset made by Qualcomm, Snapdragon 680. This chipset is a chipset that carries a 4G LTE modem with 6nm fabrication. Known for having high power efficiency and is a fairly up-to-date 4G chipset.
This chipset carries 8 CPU cores, consisting of 4 Kryo 265 Gold 2.4GHz cores and 4 Kryo 265 Silver 1.8 GHz cores. Also the Adreno 610 GPU which is a mid-to-high class graphics chip. With specifications like this, the performance of the OPPO Pad Air can be said to be capable for the price class offered.
To secure the multitasking function of the Pad Air tablet, OPPO also prepares 4GB of RAM. Which can be increased up to 3GB with the RAM Expansion feature. This feature is quite helpful to improve the performance of the OPPO Pad Air table.
As a storage medium, OPPO provides a ROM of 64GB which can be added with additional memory with a MicroSD card type of up to 512GB.
OPPO Pad Air Battery
OPPO Pad Air comes with a large capacity battery. It makes sense considering that this tablet has a large screen and functions that are relatively heavier than cellphones. Luckily there is no cellular technology in this OPPO tablet, thus reducing the power load of the OPPO Pad Air.
The battery itself has a capacity of 7100 mAh with PD (power Delivery) standard charging with an output of 9V/2A aka 18 Watts.
OPPO Pad Air Additional Accessories
This OPPO Pad Air is interesting because it supports a capacitive Stylus for us to do digital signatures to pdf, or be creative in making sketches and pictures in our spare time. Or just play with your child to color the picture.
OPPO Indonesia provides several accessory options for OPPO Pad Air. While supplies last, we can add these accessories when we buy the OPPO Pad Air tablet at the OPPO Store.
There are covers, Smart Keyboard and Smart Stylus. Smart Cover is sold for only IDR 299,000, while Smart Keyboard is at IDR 799,000, while Smart Stylus is sold for IDR 699,000. We will discuss these three accessories in a different article.
OPPO Pad Air Camera
Although it is only present as a complement, we cannot ignore the importance of the camera on the OPPO Pad Air. Because the OPPO Pad Air tablet can be used to conduct online meetings. Using the 5MP front camera, we can talk via video with several people at once.
While the 8MP camera on the back can be used to capture image objects that we can work on at a later time. While sketching, and matching the color of our image with the original.

Conclusion
As OPPO’s first tablet in Indonesia, OPPO Pad Air is able to show OPPO’s seriousness in making devices that can later be connected to each other, or in cool language, complete their smart device ecosystem. It is not easy to present a multi-functional tablet at an affordable price and can still meet the performance needs of its users, but OPPO Pad Air is able to answer it positively. Of course there are still some notes and that can be improved in the next product.
