OPPO Reno11 F 5G Reviews
Magnetic Particle Design
Through the Reno11 F 5G, OPPO introduced the latest coloring technique called Magnetic Particle. Unfortunately, this technique is only adopted by the coral purple and ocean blue color variants.
Reno11 F Coral Purple
Where the color under the glass back cover layer is made in such a way as to resemble objects in nature. For example, ocean blue, is a combination of azure and white that looks like wave foam, and coral purple shows a combination of soft lilac colors with scattered Glitter.
The product we reviewed is actually no less beautiful. Bringing the breath of the previous Reno series with the OPPO Glow method that combines emerald and leaf green colors, it looks matte and mysterious at the same time. Depending on the light that falls on its surface.
Reno11 F Palm Green
Unlike other Reno11, this time the phone is formed with a firm, boxy design like the early Renos. Reminds us of old phones. But at the same time gives a strong impression, not fragile.
However, the four corners are still rounded so that they are not too sharp for the hand when used.
The camera frame on the back cover also still displays a square box area that supports two circles of the same size containing the camera and a small circle where the flash is located.
Although considered an economical version, the OPPO Reno11 F 5G no longer carries a 3.5 mm audio port. So we have to enjoy music via Bluetooth or use a USB C to 3.5 mm adapter. It’s a shame because the phone itself doesn’t carry stereo speakers, aka mono.
Meanwhile, on the front, we can find a screen section that has no margins, aka the bezel is very thin. The screen is all content.
Interestingly, the Reno11 F 5G has an IP65 certificate. This means that this phone has been tested to be able to withstand heavy rain and the dust that accompanies it. So it can be used for sports, such as cycling or jogging.
Layar AMOLED 120Hz
OPPO still presents a high refresh rate screen on all lines of its Reno11 series. This is evident on the Reno11 F 5G screen which still carries the best screen panel, with AMOLED FHD+ 120Hz.
Equipped with HDR10+ certification, with 100% DCI-P3 gamut, there is nothing to complain about the display that dominates almost 93.4% of the front of this phone.
ColorOS 14 and Favorite Features
In addition to the screen that is not reduced in quality, this phone also carries software that is fairly complete for a Reno phone.
A combination of ColorOS 14 and Android 14 features of course. One of the things we like is the file dock feature. Where we can save images, text and other small things into a dock and then bring them out again when we need them in a different application.
Our workflow has become more concise and effective. Especially for content creators, and reporters who do a lot of research when covering.
In addition, there is Smart Image Matting, including picture cutoff. Where we can long press on the image, then the system will separate the image we press with all its background.
Memory and CPU
OPPO Reno11 F 5G comes with Mediatek Dimensity 7050 chipset support. With 6nm fabrication, it carries an 8-core CPU, consisting of 2 Cortex A78 and 6 Cortex A55, and a Mali-G68 MC4 GPU. As expected, the Antutu score is around 500 thousand. And this is not a bad number if you have been using your cellphone for casual needs.
In addition, this phone also carries 8GB of RAM that can be expanded to 16GB using the RAM expansion feature. With ColorOS 14’s trinity engine, the existence of this fairly spacious virtual memory space will maintain the phone’s multitasking capabilities.
As a storage medium, the Reno11 F 5G is equipped with 256GB of internal memory. It is sufficient to store photo files, videos and other important documents.
Like other Reno11 series, this phone is also equipped with LinkBoost feature. Which increases the signal reception of the phone to be better. And when disconnected, it can be reconnected faster. This technology only applies in 5 countries, including Indonesia, India, Malaysia, Thailand and Vietnam.
Camera with Special Portrait Engine
All Reno11 series have adopted the Portrait Expert Engine, in accordance with OPPO’s Reno product slogan. Including the Reno11 F 5G. With camera specs that are not too prominent, namely only relying on a 64 MP camera as the main camera, 8MP for ultra-wide and 2MP for macro, the presence of this portrait engine changed our minds.
With the Portrait Expert engine, the system will perform good facial recognition, meaning it is able to separate objects from the background. Then there is skin tone protection, then there is clarity and facial enhancement, and finally there is portrait and environment merging.
The camera shot will produce a balanced image, without sacrificing one, with colors that remain natural and detailed.
This also applies to the front camera, or selfie camera. This time OPPO brings a 32MP camera that is capable of recording video in 4K30 fps resolution, like the main camera of this phone.
5000 mAH battery with SuperVOOC
OPPO Reno11 F 5G is powered by a 5000 mAh battery. Large enough to support all phone performance. Also supports 67W SUperVOOC fast charging technology that can charge the battery from zero to 100% in just about 48 minutes.
Conclusion
When it was first announced, we were a little skeptical about the presence of the OPPO Reno11 F 5G. Considering that we were hoping for a higher Reno11 series to be presented to Indonesia. But after seeing its capabilities over the past few weeks, we believe this phone has a market that is still loyal to the OPPO camera color tone .
With a classic design that is comfortable to use, durability under rain, and portrait camera capabilities, this phone will be a Reno product that meets the needs of those with limited funds. Check also OPPO Reno12 Pro 5G specs & review.
