realme GT Neo 3, without having to wait long, the product with fast charging is now available on the market, making it the first cellphone with 150W charging. At the same time, making it the fastest charging phone at the time of this writing.
Then realme introduced two variants of the realme GT Neo 3 to the domestic market, namely the realme GT Neo 3 with 150W charging or called UltraDart Charge 150W and another product with 80W charging or called SuperDart Charge. Apart from the difference in price, practically only the charging side is different.
Long story short, realme Indonesia was kind enough to send one of these products to the PULSA editorial review desk. And interestingly, the product sent was a product with 80W charging, not 150W. It was exactly what we expected, because we really wanted to see the difference with the 150W product.
But anyway, whether it’s 80W or 150W, both can be said to be fast charging technologies today. The 150W power is of course absolutely the largest for a cellphone battery recharging ecosystem. Likewise with 80W. Although a number of flagships that have emerged recently have brought charging with a similar ecosystem with 80W power that replaces the previous more common charging technology, namely 65W. Even that is not much.

realme GT Neo 3 Reviews
Back Cover with a Touch of a Racing Car
The design section in every realme product review is often our main focus. Because every time they release a new product, realme never gets tired of introducing a different design approach. Including the one present in the realme GT Neo 3.
With the same enthusiasm as the previous series, the realme GT Neo 3 once again presents a touch of racing car vinyl stickers. Some people call it a racing stripe, but others call it Le Mans Stripes or rally Stripes.
So, when applied to a product with the color Nitro Blue (blue) these white twin lines remind us of the Dodge Viper GTS racing car. Which makes this white sticker also known as Viper Stripes. While when applied to a white cellphone, it will remind us of the Mustang GT350.
The point is, the design of the back cover of this cellphone tries to highlight the “speed” side. Because in addition to fast charging, the GT Neo 3 is also powered by a MediaTek chipset which can be said to be premium class, so it is able to support above average performance. The Antutu Benchmark that we did alone produced quite impressive values with numbers above 800 thousand to close to 900 thousand. Promising acceleration for comfortable gaming.
Then with a 5G modem that is ready to be used when 5G services can be enjoyed by more people in Indonesia, this cellphone is also ready to be used fast when browsing, downloading files or exchanging information using this network.
The GT Neo 3 back cover is made smooth because the outermost layer is made of dull or matte glass, which makes it not easily dirty from the user’s sweat. But does it become slippery? During our use, not too much. But it’s a good idea for safety, use the cellphone’s default silicone case for better grip.
The Realme GT Neo 3 is sold at a fairly high price, but not as high as the existing realme flagship. PULSA sees it as a premium cellphone that occupies the upper middle class, but with performance close to the flagship. But usually, cellphones in this class still provide a 3.5 mm audio jack. To play games or enjoy multimedia files, we can rely on realme’s TWS products or audio converters to the USB Type C port of this phone.
120Hz AMOLED screen
There is something interesting about the realme GT Neo 3 screen, namely the camera hole which is now placed in the middle. No longer close to one corner of the screen. This 6.7-inch screen contains FHD + resolution or more precisely at 1080 x 2412 pixels.
With an AMOLED panel, the screen resolution looks solid, the icons are displayed in detail with a fairly satisfying density level. With screen refresh rate technology that reaches a maximum of 120Hz, the realme GT Neo 3 screen will pamper us even more, especially when interacting with supporting applications, such as Instagram, Tiktok and so on.
Oh yes, by carrying a special chip for the screen display, the realme GT Neo 3 can also provide a high refresh rate for gaming needs. So that smooth gameplay can be achieved up to 120fps. This chip is also believed to be able to perform GPU rendering and interpolation, thereby increasing the overall power efficiency of the phone.
In addition to 120Hz, the screen refresh rate can also be changed to 90Hz or to normal 60Hz if you feel the need to save power. Because by activating the highest screen refresh rate, the power required will be even greater.
The realme GT Neo 3 screen is protected with a layer of hard glass made by Corning, namely Gorilla Glass 5.
realme UI 3.0 Based on Android 12
The realme GT Neo 3 smartphone runs the realme UI 3.0 custom UI based on Android 12. It is one of our favorite Custom UIs because of its clean appearance, easy to find what we are looking for and tends not to be heavy, especially when running on devices with RAM above 4GB.
This custom UI brings several superior features that can be utilized in daily activities. Whether when running out of battery in the middle of the road, running out of RAM, or when trying to be creative with the camera’s built-in features and editing them to share on social media. All available built-in applications can already support these activities.
Including when we want to play games without being disturbed, or focus all hardware functions only on playing games.
High Performance 5G Chipset
As a product that occupies a fairly high hierarchy, realme GT Neo 3 cannot just come with fast charging capabilities. This phone is powered by the Mediatek Dimensity 8100 chipset, which has a 5nm fabrication, so it is known to be energy efficient, and also carries a relatively complete 5G modem.
This chipset carries a CPU with 8 cores divided into 2 clusters. Namely a performance cluster consisting of 4 Cortex-A78 cores with a clock speed of 2.85 GHz and an efficiency cluster consisting of 4 Cortex-A55 cores with a speed of 2.0 GHz. Accompanied by the Mali-G610 MC6 GPU, on paper this phone is able to accelerate well, when used for daily activities, to 3D rendering needs when playing games.
In addition to the CPU and GPU, this chipset also carries the APU 580 which is the 5th generation APU from Mediatek which contains several functions such as graphics, Super resolution and a number of other AI functions that will increase the value and experience of using a cellphone with this realme GT Neo 3.
Together with this chipset, the realme GT Neo 3 also embeds 8GB of LPDDR5 6400Mhz RAM and 256GB of UFS 3.1 ROM. With the addition of RAM expansion features provided by the UI, the memory of this phone is quite large.
As a chipset with high acceleration, of course it will release quite significant heat. Well on this side, realme has built its own cooling system. With an area of 39606 mm2, this cooling area provides a vapor chamber with a stainless steel vapor cooling system max. Makes the phone feel cool even when charged at a high speed of 80W, or when used to play games while plugged into the charger.
The battery of this phone itself has a capacity of 4500 mAh, with dual cells so that when charged it will fill it in parallel and allow for continuous fast charging. The SuperDart 80W charging system and also the UltraDart 150W in other variants are also guaranteed to be safe because of the smart charging architecture, consisting of a special UltraDart Adaptive Dual chipset, current control management via an MCU, Dual FPC battery connector and so on.
50MP Camera with Flagship Sensor
The realme GT Neo 3 smartphone carries a camera with a sensor that is usually present in other flagship phones, namely the Sony IMX766. Carrying a resolution of 50MP, this 1 / 1.56 inch sensor is able to capture more light. Combined with 4 in 1 binning technology, the photo object captured by the sensor will produce a much more detailed photo and can be cropped into a photo that has a quality that is not too low.
In addition to qualified sensors and lenses, in terms of software, realme also maintains Street Mode. Allows users to access the camera faster when they find unique and spontaneous events. And with a number of street filters that have been provided, we will be taken to be able to create more easily.
Before seeing the photo results more clearly, it’s a good idea to know the camera configuration carried by this cellphone, both on the back and on the front. Behind the realme GT Neo 3 carries 3 camera lenses, consisting of a 50MP camera as the main camera, an 8MP camera for ultra-wide needs and 2MP for macro needs.
This rear camera is capable of recording videos up to 4K resolution at a frame rate of 60fps.
While on the front, there is a 16MP camera that is capable of recording 1080p videos at 30fps.
Here are some photo results for you to assess the capabilities of the realme GT Neo 3 camera. But as a disclaimer, that we do not do post editing on the photos we take. We only do resizing so that the photos can appear nicely on our website.
Conclusion
The presence of the realme GT Neo 3 is the right momentum for realme to claim the highest throne of the fastest charging today. With such an ecosystem and architecture, charging with a power of 150W and 80W can run safely, so that users will feel comfortable.
Interestingly, apart from “selling” the speed of charging the battery, this cellphone is also equipped with qualified components as one of the successors to the GT NEO series which is indeed here to provide optimal performance at a relatively minimal price.
